Edwin Hanegraaf

Edwin Hanegraaf is an agile coach with a good feeling for all aspects that are important for a successful delivery of a product (time, people, and knowledge). He has become agile by applying agile and scrum in his daily work. Together with multiple teams and stakeholders he has coached and trained the customer, from management to production, in moving from the more traditional way of working to the full agile concept, in which products are successfully delivered in scope, in time and on budget. Edwin is seeking eagerly for the best result with the environment he is part of. For that he frequently acts as a bridge builder and he eagerly shares his experience and knowledge and he is always curious on improving the way of working. He truly believes that for changing companies effectively, changing behavior on all levels is essential to enable a mindset shift. To support this he has a strong foundation as bachelor in ICT (Hogeschool Zuyd, technical information systems) and been active as software designer and architect since 1995 and with that he has a strong and broad base in state-of-the-art technical development areas ranging from standardization development as vice chair in the standardization body of Blu-ray to hands-on development and research experience for electron microscopes, medical software, digital television and logistics.

His agile journey started in 2010, where a client in the paint industry requested for new software. He helped them in getting their goals clear and within the development team scrum was taken as primary way of working. That was steadily extended to the full company by involving everyone in the product development, leading to a succesful product (in budget and in scope) in which both developers and client (and end users) were happy with the outcomes.

In 2017 he became Agile Coach at Vanderlande Industries in Veghel, the Netherlands. Vanderlande is supplier of all kind of logistical solutions for warehousing, parcel and airports. The main focus of IT/software is in the Netherlands, Germany and India. Edwin started as team coach for four teams within the airports domain in Veghel and has gradually extended his work with the whole Supply Chain IT Solutions department, working with multiple teams and their surrounding management/stakeholder layers, in multiple domains in multiple locations, serving more than 100 people.

In 2020 he started working in Germany and had several assignments within different companies, like Deutsche Bahn, Siemens, Zur Rose/DocMorris and Gebit Solutions.

In 2014, he has taken the agile lead within High Tech ICT by introducing the Agile Dojo concept, which is the (internal) learning environment for anyone who wants to share and care (about) agile (scrum) topics, evolving in developing workshops as well. Additionally, he has become speaker at conferences and workshop facilitator. In 2020 he grounded the Agile @ Industry&Technology Meetup group to facilitate learning on the edge of hardware and software. In the recent years he has professionalized his coaching skills and holds now the ICF-ACC accreditation as professional coach. In his private life he is community aware and has been active in many different non-profit activities throughout the years. Furthermore, he likes to walk long distances and play badminton.
