Donna Lee was a Software Engineer working in waterfall projects for the first seven years of her career before being introduced to Agile/Scrum. Her Scrum experience started in 2011 with a team of five people, struggling to get the hang of the framework and the inherited product they were building, until they became a well-functioning, self-organised and cross-functional team. This is where she decided to pursue her Agile journey further and advocating change by getting certification and applying the knowledge she learned in different parts of the organisation as a Scrum Trainer, Facilitator, Mentor and Coach to Scrum Masters, Development Teams and Leadership who are unfamiliar with this mindset.
Since 2015, she is in Japan facing new challenges in applying change and improvement not only across different organisations but also across cultures. She has a fascination about people and systems and how they interact and influence each other in terms of work and life. She continuously looks at things with curiosity and care, giving people a safe space to explore uncertainties and turn them into limitless possibilities.
Outside of Agile/Scrum, she likes food, travelling, surfing, meditation and sitting in cafes reading books.
