You must renew your CSP®-SM, CSP®-PO and/or CSP® level credential every two years. You will receive a reminder email from Scrum Alliance 90 days before your certification expires. Renewing your professional level certification also renews your foundational and advanced certifications (CSM®, CSPO®, CSD®, A-CSMSM, and/or A-CSPOSM).

What will it cost if I have both CSP-SM and CSP-PO?

Certificate holders with both CSP badges (CSP-SM and CSP-PO) can choose to renew one or both certifications and meet the renewal requirements (and pay fees) for one or both.

Renewing your guide level certification

Certified Enterprise Coach

 Certified Scrum Trainer®












Each of the guide level certifications has a set of requirements around renewal (to maintain active certification).

For specifics, please see the “Certified Scrum Trainer
 (CST®), Certified Enterprise Coach (CEC), and Certified Team Coach (CTC) Renewal Program 2018–19" document found on your dashboard under Coach Resources.

You will not be eligible to pay your annual CTC, CEC and/or CST fee unless you have fulfilled all renewal requirements.

Renewing your guide level cetification also renews your CSM
, A-CSM, CSP-SM, CSPO, A-CSPO, CSP-PO, CSD, CTC, and/or CEC certifications  as applicable.


Annual Fee

The fee for your guide level certification is due annually. Toward the start of each year, you will receive an invoice from our accounting department with instructions on how to submit payment. If you have not received an invoice by the second week of January, please contact accounting@scrumalliance.org.
