Prerequisites

None. The course is available for everyone! It is beneficial to have some knowledge about Scrum. It is also expected for you to have read the “Scrum Guide” prior to class.

Strategic Planning and Alignment – strategic planning, cascading goals, OKR format and template

This course is a fantastic refresher on connecting strategy and execution through OKRs, how to write effective OKRs and KPIs, and how to distinguish between activity-based and value-based key results. If you take this class, you'll go over the relationship between an organization's mission, values, strategy, objectives, and key results. Connecting the dots properly really helps ensure that teams stay aligned and focused on what matters most.

Structured, and clear. Sherman taught the class well.

Sherman makes the development of OKRs easy. He breaks it down into bit size pieces and sprinkle some AI and bam! The OKRs come to life.

A week before the OKRs course, Sherman hosted a local meetup to introduce the new Scrum Alliance microcredential series. I am glad that I was able to attend this class the following week. I was able to learn new concepts and skills in a very short amount of time. I liked how the course was organized with the lectures and exercises. With the templates and slide presentation, plus the additional JIRA integration, I look forward to applying what I learned right away in the work environment. The additional bonuses for Agile Metrics and Agile Coaching are excellent areas to continue one's growth mindset for continuous process improvements.
