Sprightbulb Learning's Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) course focuses on the Product Owner role and covers concepts in the areas of providing a vision, requirements, planning, story maps, innovation games, product backlog refinement and priorization, splitting stories, forecasting, and tracking.

This course allows students to claim 16 Scrum Alliance Scrum Education Units (SEUs) and 14 Project Management Institute (PMI) Professional Development Units (PDUs) which can be applied to Project Management Professional (PMP) and PMI-Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) certifications.

Teaching Style

The class is presented in a highly interactive and collaborative format with elements of lecture, classroom discussion, exercises, games, simulations, and video interwoven throughout the class. Students will have the opportunity to hear real-world examples of Agile application from their instructors.

Location Details

This is an online (virtual) class. Both training days will begin at 9:00 a.m. and end at 5:00 p.m. EST, with breaks throughout the day. After registering, students will be given the proper Zoom weblink with which to join the meeting. We recommend that students download the Zoom web-based applicationg before joining the class.

Overall, great course. Would like a hands on training on how to use it with JIRA.

I thought this would be an online training course that I could take and still get my day job done. I was wrong. The material was interesting, the breakouts were frequent and well designed, and Patrick's ability to discuss scenarios he had worked through personally brought it all home. Well done sir.

I hate doing the exercises that are meaningless to my industry. I'd rather have real world examples. It feels like time filler when i'd rather learn as a group than be in a small team discussing meaningless hypothetical ideas. I understand that this might be harder for the instructor to tailor the class to the industry, but it would be more relevant for people like me to engage. Also, when you take classes with people in different levels of experience, it gets annoying to quibble over meaningless stuff. I'm already getting behind two days in training and to do hypothetical group breakouts are just painful.

Break outs are cliche and I think the entire world is wrong that getting people to move around makes us learn mor2. Too much time in activities and breaks. Knowledgeable teacher
