Syed Ali

Syed has more than 15 years of experience working as a technical resource or IT project manager. During his technical tenure, Syed has worked on many large and enterprise scaled projects for the financial, healthcare and hospitality industries. Syed has worked as both a team member and team lead. Syed has hands on experience working with and leading small to large sizes teams of developers and testers.

Syed started his journey as an IT Project manager in 2005. He has more than 10 years of experience as a senior IT project manager and leader. Syed has worked on many critical and visible projects for large organizations like Commercial Bank of Qatar, Mednax, Kerzner, Florida Virtual School and Independent Living Systems. To strengthen his project manager skills, Syed has gone through many trainings and certifications like PMP in 2005 and CSM in 2011. Syed is also an active member of PMI and Agile organizations and has participated in various seminars and conferences.

Syed has worked on and developed the policies and best practices for establishing PMO for clients. He has worked to establish IT PMO and effective agile teams to deliver successful projects for the business. Syed has been recognized as a highly professional and successful project manager in each of his many projects.

To cover verticals across the businesses, Syed has managed successful projects related to healthcare, financial, and hospitality enterprises. These projects have ranged in duration from one month to more than a year. The teams completing these projects vary in size from 2 developers to 30 developers. His strengths are leadership by example, project management by style, and teamwork by profession. Syed has developed many PMO documents which were implemented very successfully. In his previous job at Qatar, he designed a very simple and easy to use project tracking system. The system was highly appreciated by the users and higher management. Overall, Syed is the full package of seasoned project manager, consultant and leader.

Agile/Scrum Profile: Since 2010 Syed has used Agile/Scrum methodologies in almost all of his projects. When he studied this methodology and used in his first project, he became a big fan of this approach. He feels that it matches with his working style and personality. He is an active member of South Florida Agile Association and a certified scrum master since 2011. Recently, he got his CSP certification from Scrum Alliance. He has hands-on experience managing scrum teams, product backlogs, user stories, and rules of working under an agile approach.

Healthcare Experience: More than 3 years’ experience managing the projects for healthcare-related organizations such as Mednax/Pediatrix and Independent Living Systems.
