Don Parkison

Don Parkison is a Certified Scrum Master with experience leading and coaching Agile teams in the financial, online purchasing, railway, insurance and education industries. He is versed in different Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc), and he has experience communicating with both internal and external groups, ensuring the product meets their requirements as well as the company requirements. Working at AIM he has worked with 2 distributed and fully remote teams helping them to learn Agile principles as well as providing guidance from PI Planning of 6 sprint cycles following projects from concept to delivery. Working alongside the RTE to provide metrics via spreadsheet reporting and most recently using Jira Align. While at Grainger he worked with distributed teams coaching them to become better at the Scrum process. He also took on responsibilities as a Delivery Manager guiding and keeping track of overall projects being worked on by multiple teams. During his engagement with Bank of America, Don worked with 5 teams, ranging from 4-10 team members and helped coach them to be effective at delivering releases. As a Scrum Master with Holland, Don coached their first two Scrum teams as the company moved through their transition from Waterfall to Agile. He helped them learn the new processes and guided them through using Agile methods and principles. Don has multiple Scrum certifications, including his PSM1 (Scrum.org), CSM (Scrum Alliance), Accredited Scrum Master (International Scrum Institute) and a Scrum Fundamentals Certificate (SCRUMstudy).
