Scrum Alliance certification includes membership with the largest agile nonprofit in the world, in addition to the certification badge to add to your resume. Your membership comes with exclusive learning resources and discounts to Scrum Gatherings®.
Think of a Scrum Alliance certification as another qualification relevant to salary negotiations. Agile certifications can lead to higher salaries, both within and outside of agile roles (like a scrum master). According to the "Skills in the New World of Work" report, 55% of organizations said they would pay higher salaries for people with certifications relevant to their agile role. Sixty-nine percent of organizations said they would pay higher salaries for anyone who had demonstrated agile skills, regardless of their role.
Scrum Alliance certifications expire in two years unless you renew them. You can renew your certification(s) by submitting the required number of SEUs and the renewal fee. Learn more about renewal.
Choose an introductory certification based on your career goals. Role-based paths, including the scrum master and product owner tracks, are good options if you want to work in one of those positions or if you want to understand how to practice the framework more effectively.
