Laurent Lardinois

Laurent Lardinois got a Master degree in Computer Sciences with high honor at the Université Libre de Bruxelles in 1996.  He started programming audio and computer graphics 10 years before at the age of 12, mostly in basic and assembly language (68000 and x86).

He started his professional career in 3D computer graphics in 1997 at depinxi SA, a creative company that was building immersive experiences for events and theme parks on high-end systems (Silicon Graphics).  He was programming in C/C++ and OpenGL Performer.

After this first position he moved in 2000 to DS Improve, an IT consulting company, where he participates to several missions during more than 10 years.  He worked in particular several years for Fabricom (Engie) as team leader & software architect for railways applications (visual/audio passenger information).

While working on partial time consulting missions he incubated a young R&D team of 6 people in DS Improve's offices with the support of Innoviris funds (Brussels Region).  After an experimental research program and a prototyping phase this team became in 2010 an autonomous spin-out company: Immeractive SA.

Laurent had the role of CTO at Immeractive SA, a Start'Up providing innovative and interactive 3D visual solutions for the Construction Industry.  He got there business experience with domains such as cartography, land survey, town planning, architecture and real estate.  He was heavily involved in pre-sales actions, funding process and collaboration opportunities. He got some non-technical training such as People Management, Solution Selling, B2B Marketing as well as some Agile Principles training from Product Owner perspective.

In 2014 he joined the COMOS Walkinside Development team at Siemens SISW as 3D Expert Consultant.  An opportunity for him to get experience in industrial massive CAD models visualization, VR solutions and Oil & Gas business specificities.  Scrum Methodology and Continuous Integration are applied there on a daily basis for years.

In 2020 he joined Nalys Group as Senior Consultant / Embedded Systems.  An opportunity to share his acquired skills and to develop new experience related to Linux and Embedded Systems programming in general.
