Tetsuro Mori

My name is Tetsuro Mori. I'm a Samurai descendant from Japan, and currently working at Rakuten in San Francisco downtown as a Project Manager, managing distributed teams (San Francisco, Tokyo, India) of roughly 3-10 people with Agile Scrum method. I also write programs in PHP (Codeigniter), node.js (Express), HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (jQuery), design products, take Product Owner tasks (creating stories & acceptance criteria, prioritization), and sometime help product management. Basically I do whatever helps me to make an impact on the world. By the way, I am a certified scrum master (CSM).

Besides my current job, I work on a couple of projects as visionary, evangelist, and strategist. 1. We're working on a music app project which changes the current music industry's system by focusing on building direct ecosystem among musicians and fans. 2. I started a musician's group as a platform to make the Japanese rock scene bigger by collaborations and competitions so that musicians will be able to create more J-rock distinctive music & throw more entertaining shows. I also provide my lighting & DJ skills to the musicians in the group.

I also spend my personal time on: learning latest technologies and trends, being involved in startup communities, making a lot of new business ideas, writing songs and performing on stage, drawing, working out at the gym, playing tennis, and driving.
