This was a long process. Some of the modules took minutes, others can take months. It took me just over 6 months to complete with a few holidays and life events in there.BUT, it's quality education. This training showed me what I didn't know about being a Scrum Master and made me improve it, but it also took what I thought I was good at and made me great at it.The learning is self paced and combines written articles, videos, and exercises to help you learn. There are also additional resources within each lesson that may not be needed for the assignments, but can be used in your everyday life. There are a few face to face sessions, largely just a Lean Coffee Format, but the instructors provide a lot of great articles to elaborate more on issues and it really showcases the amount of knowledge they have.I will say that if you know your way around photoshop, don't bother getting a lot of the art supplies listed in the beginning, I got by with a flipchart, markers, a whiteboard, post its, pens, and a bit of photoshop ingenuity. I hadn't bought a magazine in years before this and it wanted me to buy like 5 magazines. $60 later I cracked open one or two of them to read and never used them, the colored pencils, the multi-colored sharpies, or the painter's tape at all. At least some of that can be repurposed around the house.I will also say that if you are not currently working with an agile team this training might be impossible to complete for some of the assignments. There were a few times that even with the training provided the answers were not there. And as much as I appreciated the chance to improve my skills of googling to find answers to my problems it was admittedly frustrating to not be taught the things that were on the quizzes. There is also one assignment in the bunch that could take months of time on its own, so don't get discouraged if you hit a point where you can't finish a lesson yet, just move on to the next. Most of my interaction was with Joel and he was amazing as an instructor. He really broke down what I needed to work on and what I did great. His encouragement kept me going and really helped my confidence as a Scrum Master.
