Certified Scrum Product Owner®

My goal for this training was to understand the Product Owner role: what a PO does, why the role exists, and how it works in practice. While I enjoyed the interactive games and found them engaging, they were not supported by sufficient explanation before or after the exercises to clarify how the terms, concepts, or outcomes related to the Product Owner role. Without that connection, the activities felt more like games than learning tools. After completing the class, I do not feel confident in the PO role, and if I were to pursue a PO position, I would not feel qualified based on the content provided. A significant amount of time was spent on self‑promotion, long rants, off‑topic commentary, and an app concept rather than practical PO skills. To improve the effectiveness of this training, I would recommend clearer instruction on PO responsibilities, stronger alignment to real‑world application, and intentional debriefs that explicitly connect exercises back to the Product Owner role.

One great thing about Jimi is that he genuinely cares about his students and because of his empathy, it has enabled him to be a great instructor as well as a great project manager. I assure you , you won’t regret enrolling in his certification courses.

Very interactive course, not just death by PowerPoint. I've now attended three classes and will come back for more.

The instructor was very engaging and provided interactive materials that helped learn the course content. However, this course felt like it was targeted at a very entry level audience and I did not have many takeaways I could apply to my work that I was not already doing.

Jimi did a great job making the sessions engaging and easy to follow. Interactive and a fun learning experience

Jimi delivered an excellent three-day CSPO training. Across all three days, he consistently balanced theory with real-world application, making the material relevant whether you’re new to Scrum or have been practicing product management for years. One of the biggest strengths of the training was the format. There were no PowerPoint slides. Instead, Jimi taught through conversation, live examples, and frequent breakout sessions that gave us time to apply the concepts, compare experiences, and learn from one another. The breakout time was especially valuable and never felt like filler. Each day built naturally on the previous one, moving from foundational Scrum concepts to deeper discussions about product ownership, backlog management, prioritization, and value delivery. Jimi’s style made complex ideas approachable, and his humor and storytelling kept the sessions engaging throughout. I walked away with practical insights I can immediately apply, as well as a clearer mental model for how Scrum is intended to work. I would highly recommend Jimi’s CSPO training to anyone in product, Scrum, or Agile leadership roles.
