Certification Requirements

Hold an Advanced Certified Product Owner (A-CSPO) certification with Scrum Alliance.
Attend a certified CSP-PO educational offering to gain advanced knowledge in implementing purpose and strategy, high level approaches for testing product assumptions and advanced techniques in Product Backlog management.
Successfully complete all educator-designed components of an approved educational offering. This may include pre- or post-course work as deemed necessary by your ScrumAlliance approved educator to complete the learning objectives.
Upon successful completion of CSP-PO course, you will be asked to accept the CSP-PO License Agreement and complete your Scrum Alliance membership profile.
Validate at least 24 months of work experience specific to the role of Product Owner (from within the past five years).

Maintain your CSP-PO by earning Scrum Education Units^® (SEUs) and renewing your certification every two years. Learn more

NOTE: You may take the CSP-PO educational offering at any time after completing your A-CSPO certification and must have at least 24 months of Product Owner experience logged into your Scrum Alliance profile before you are eligible to receive your CSP-PO certification.

Kiran was an outstanding coach! Because we had a smaller class, many of the team activities became more hands-on, which really helped me get practical with the concepts. He was patient, kind, and kept us focused without drifting off topic. I also really appreciated how he managed the timing—staying on schedule, prioritizing breaks, and giving us an adequate lunch window so we could stay sharp. What stood out most to me was how much I actually took away from the training. I gained a deeper understanding of how to use MoSCoW and WSJF prioritization techniques with stakeholders, how to apply scaling patterns like SAFe and LeSS more thoughtfully in real-world contexts, and why a shared Product Goal is critical for keeping multiple teams aligned. I also picked up new facilitation strategies for managing stakeholder conflict—something I can immediately use in my day-to-day role. Overall, I had a fantastic experience. The balance of theory and application made the learning stick, and I walked away with tools I can apply right away. I’m already planning to take at least two more trainings with Kiran next year.
