David Block

David Block is currently serving as an advisor to a number of small companies, guiding them through the details of building and maintaining Brand Equity through a focus on customer experience. He comes to this role having been focused on user-centered design for much of his 35 years in the consumer electronics/microcomputer industry.
David founded AddressMate Software in 1992, and through multiple partnerships and acquisitions eventually became VP of R&D and Technology at DYMO, a subsidiary of Newell Rubbermaid, where he guided much of DYMO®'s future technological directions while directing much of the product development efforts, globally
Holder of multiple patents, David has authored numerous software applications and served as a hardware and software design consultant to many well known technology companies. His experience on both the marketing and development sides of technology companies has allowed him to develop a strong, balanced, user-centered approach to product design.
On a more personal note, he was one of the Web’s earliest bloggers, organizing an award winning website offering start-to-finish coverage of the grueling 1200 mile Iditarod Sled Dog Race from Anchorage to Nome in 1996 and in 1997, when he travelled the length of the race by snow-machine and small plane.
