Faizan Mumtaz began his career as a ScrumMaster trapped in a programmer's body. For four years, he developed web applications for prominent start-ups in the Chicagoland area.

Next, he challenged himself for next four years as a PMP certified project manager leveraging his technical and business acumen to deliver enterprise scale initiatives for Fortune 500 companies.

Agile Practioner

To further his professional capabilities, Faizan often participates in rigorous training. There, he was first exposed to Scrum, XP, and Kanban. He quickly earned his CSM and CSPO certifications. Armed with a deep understanding of agile frameworks, he excelled in roles and responsibilities as a ScrumMaster, product owner, and head of PMO for seven years.

He has enjoyed employment at organizations that succeeded in their agile implementation as well as companies that viewed Scrum as a "failed experiment". This rich experience contributes to his passion and highly acclaimed ability to teach scrum training courses. He has been teaching nationwide for over five years. He has delighted and enlightened audiences ranging from small groups to thousands at renown conferences.

As an Agile Coach for the past six years, he has benefited over 15 organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry to, not only survive, but thrive in today's ever changing economic climate using an adapted agile framework.
