Taufan Tjioe

I am an IT Professional, with nearly 14 years of experience working at  the General Electric Company.  

I graduated with a BS in MIS (with a concentration in Technical Communications) in 1999 and was hired as a systems analyst at GE Global Research in upstate New York where I supported UNIX based high-performance and engineering compute environments.  

In mid-2001, I returned to school to obtain an MS in Information Technology, also from Clarkson University.  

After graduating, I returned to General Electric, and was a member of the IT Management Leadership Program (IMLP/ITLP) at GE Energy from 2002 to 2004.  During this time, I worked on projects that ranged from Data Warehouses, Engineering Computing, SAP Blueprinting, and remote field service connectivity.  

From 2005 to 2007, I was involved with leading traditional Java-over-Oracle software development projects at GE Energy, for their Gas Turbine Engineering group.

From mid-2007 to 2009, I was a member of GE Corporate Audit Staff, focusing on the execution of risk-based IT compliance audits. I focused on auditing business systems that calculated, held, or influenced financial metrics reportable to the government and the street.

In mid-2009, I took on responsibility at GE Energy as Program Manager for the migration and implementation of sales and deal risk processes using Salesforce.com. This implementation was executed in an Agile way, with product owners setting priorities, two-week sprints, and regular demos and planning sessions.  I then left GE for a short time to persue interests in pre-med studies.

After obtaining my CSM in late 2013, I joined GE Capital as part of their newly opened Technology Center in New Orleans as a ScrumMaster and Agile Coach.  The group I worked with was dedicated to changing the perception GE Capital businesses have to software development.

In 2015, I joined the GE Digital team in San Ramon California and have held Agile transformation roles across different parts of the IT organization there.
