Paul Akene

Paul Akene is an accomplished Certified Scrum Professional-Scrum Master with great track record in coordinating and execution of complex IT projects.

As a Scrum Master I have served and collaborated elaborately with various product owners and stakeholders in ensuring that the vision, goal and scope are clearly defined and understood across the board. As a servant leader, I have put in place practices and tools to enable the Product Owner and team maintain a well refined and prioritized product backlog.

I love the development team as they are the heart and lungs of the scrum team and product life cycle. I have with resounding success been able to be of service to development teams throughout various product life cycles: Coaching, mentoring, enabling, keeping moral high and removing any blockers and impediments. This has produced great value, team spirit and continuous improvement. Being cross functional and self-organizing I have been able to unlock their potential further by being a servant leader to the team through collaboration and facilitation of their activities.

As Certified Scrum Master I have had tremendous success in the transformation of old-fashioned management and organizations to not only think agile but be agile. They have reaped the benefits of placing emphasis on individuals and interactions over processes and tools, responding to change in a very volatile environment and above all, see fast returns and early and continuous value creation with shorter feedback loops.

With over four years of being an agile practitioner and implementing scrum I have broadened my reach through DevOps to help management and the development teams source for effective and efficient tools that has complimented strategy and ensured continuous integration and continuous delivery.

My goal is not only to continue to improve being agile and developing the agile mindset further, but to be able to assist, guide and help others to be agile.

Outside of implementing agile within organizations I have remained agile in my community by contributing to the ever-changing needs of the less opportune. I have been a leader in providing sources of portable drinking water to my community back in Cameroon (Central Africa) and helped in reforestation for a sustainable future.
