This interactive 8-hour course is designed for project managers working with Scrum teams—or preparing to—who want to strengthen delivery predictability and stakeholder confidence.

Learn how your experience translates within a Scrum environment and where your role continues to add value. You’ll explore how traditional project management responsibilities evolve, where they align with Scrum roles, and how to effectively support teams by improving visibility, advocating for outcomes, and aligning with organizational needs.

By the end of this course, you’ll be equipped to:

  • Improve delivery predictability and reduce surprises

  • Strengthen stakeholder trust through better forecasting and transparency

  • Adapt your leadership approach to thrive in an Agile environment

  • Confidently understand where and how you contribute within a Scrum team

This course was designed in collaboration with the Scrum Alliance® by Julie Chickering, CST®, PMP, AKT.

Who Should Attend?

  • Project managers who already have foundational familiarity with Scrum
  • Anyone who has previously earned a CSM or CSPO certification

This interactive 8-hour course is intended for project managers currently working with scrum teams, those expected to do so in the near future, or those with a project management background looking to integrate scrum knowledge. Your role as facilitator is to help participants identify how their responsibilities intersect with the scrum framework. You will emphasize where traditional project management activities shift to scrum roles and highlight where project managers continue to provide value—such as advocating for the team, aligning with organizational needs, and creating the conditions for scrum to succeed.

The primary focus of this course is for participants to gain a clear understanding of how to adapt their leadership approach, recognize their role within a scrum team, and thrive as project managers in an agile environment.

To participate in the online course, you'll need the following:

  • A quiet, comfortable place to be for the duration of the class
    • Choose an area without distractions
    • Be mindful of managing potential interruptions (e.g. children, pets, etc).
  • Computer (desktop, laptop, or tablet)
  • Camera and microphone (we'll have virtual breakout rooms)
  • Headset to filter out room noise
  • Internet connectivity
  • Ability to download the workbook

  • Breaks – The course will include frequent breaks to allow time away from the screen, time to stretch your legs, and check on friends/family.
  • Video Required – You'll be working with others in video breakout rooms. It's a unique way to engage with your classmates and dive deeper into discussions.
  • Tools – Our coaches have incorporated easy-to-use websites and online collaboration tools to support their lessons.

We ask that you participate like you would if you were in class.

  • Punctual arrival
  • Full attention and participation (video is required)
  • Committed to full, 100% attendance and participation during class time

Attendees are expected to attend class in it's entirety to earn their certification. If you anticipate that you may need to miss class time, please contact us in advance to discuss your situation and determine if rescheduling the class is the best option.
