Our live-online Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM) course is highly interactive and gives you guidance for adopting Scrum for both distributed and co-located teams and for continuously improving your organisation. You will come away with practical ideas that you can implement right away to take your team to the next level. The course is engaging and fun and is taught with frequent breaks at a sustainable pace, so you can maximise learning from the comfort of your home or office. Trainer Simon Roberts is one of the most experienced Certified Scrum Trainers and has used lightweight/agile methods since the late 1990s.

Simon has used lightweight/agile methods since the late 1990s and works with organisations large and small to help them achieve better results by leveraging the power of self-organising teams. He has consulted for and led several large-scale agile transitions at DAX companies in Germany, is the author of several articles and speaks regularly at conferences on the subject of agile leadership.

Simon holds an MBA specialising in Creativity, Innovation and Change from the Open University Business School.

Our Story

ScrumCenter was originally established in 2009 in Germany to leverage the founder's experience helping organisations to adopt agile ways of working and achieve sustainable success with agility. The founders of the original company had spent three years supporting a major financial sector organisation to adopt agile and wanted to use this experience to support other organisations through consulting, coaching and training.

ScrumCenter Ltd. was incorporated in Scotland in December 2017. When not travelling throughout Europe to support their clients, ScrumCenter's founder, Simon Roberts, lives on the shore of the beautiful Loch Long, close to the west coast of Scotland.

Very informative

Great course, well delivered by Simon.

A well taught course from an experienced tutor.

I had an excellent experience with Simon Roberts delivering the CSM course. The training was engaging, well-structured, and easy to follow, with a great balance of theory, real-world examples, and interactive discussions. Simon explained Scrum concepts clearly and created a positive learning environment where everyone felt comfortable asking questions and participating. His industry knowledge and practical insights made the course both enjoyable and highly valuable. I came away with a much stronger understanding of Scrum, agile principles, and how to apply them in real working environments. I would highly recommend Simon to anyone looking to complete their CSM certification.

I recently completed the Certified ScrumMaster course with Simon Roberts as the tutor. Simon’s knowledge and experience were genuinely invaluable throughout the course delivery; he clearly knows the subject inside out and brings each topic to life with insight that adds depth to every discussion. That said, I personally found aspects of the online delivery a bit clunky. The use of Mural was at times frustrating, and working through Zoom wasn’t ideal for many of us who are more familiar with Microsoft Teams. None of this was down to Simon himself, but it did affect the overall flow of the course for me. This was my own choice to attend online, and in hindsight, I think I would opt for a face‑to‑face course next time. Simon did a great job with the tools available, but I know I learn better in a physical classroom environment. Overall, Simon is an excellent tutor with a wealth of expertise; my challenges were more about the online format than the content or delivery

I have learnt a great deal and I’m looking forward to applying the ideas in my work.
