About
Joel Ezell graduated from the University of Colorado with a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering. After a brief stint at Microsoft, he joined Lucent in 1997. He was then part of the Avaya spinoff from Lucent in 2000.
Joel started as a firmware developer and worked on various enterprise communicatio products, including Avaya's first VoIP gateway. Joel was promoted to Technical Manager and worked in this capacity on subsequent VoIP releases. After deciding that management was not his cup of tea, he went back to doing technical work on Avaya's Application Enabement Services (CTI) platform. Joel is currently the lead architect on this platform.
