Frequently Asked Questions

• When do we start and end each day? 

The classroom opens at 8:40 AM each day and the class will begin promptly at 9:00 AM. We will end at 5:30 PM each day. (Time Zone: IST)

• What should I wear? 

Wear anything that makes you comfortable. There are no rules!

• What should I bring? 

Just yourself. You don't need a laptop, although you are free to bring one.

-          I'm an introvert who is not so big on the whole audience participation thing. Will this class make me uncomfortable?

Participation in any physical exercise is, of course, optional--in fact, the role of "observer" is quite valuable, so feel free to participate at your ability and comfort levels. Remember, people are different and we value that!

• Do you offer a guarantee?

We guarantee our services unconditionally. If you aren't satisfied, we aren't either, and we'll work with you to make it right, up to and including your money back.

• What is your refund policy?

You get an 80% refund if you cancel 4 days before the workshop.

You get a 70% refund if you cancel 48 hours before the workshop. 

You will not get any refund if you neither inform nor turn up for the workshop. 

If the GST amount is already deducted then it won't be refunded as well.

Pre-workshop Preparation:

We want you to make the most of the time you spend with our trainers and other participants. Learning maximizes with the perspective of others. So we expect you to go through online articles and videos to prepare for the workshop. The online material includes:

• Learn Agile Manifesto
• Learn Basic Scrum Framework
• Go through the Scrum Guide
• Learn about the CSM test process
• Attend the CSM workshop and have a valid CSM certificate
• Attend the A-CSM workshop and have a valid A-CSM certificate
• Go through the pre-workshop material for the CSP-SM workshop on Leanpitch Dashboard
• Take an assessment to validate your learning from CSM and A-CSM
• Submit a write-up on your experience asd a Scrum Master
• Work on pre-workshop case studies

Workshop:

The workshop is designed to help participants gain experience as a Scrum Master. The topics covered in the workshop are based on the focus areas of the Scrum Master. You will be learning the role of Scrum Master through role-plays and by doing. The whole course is split into 4 Sprints, with each focusing on the following topics..

Sprint 3: Building Functional Teams

• What are the functions of an effective team?
• Uncovering the dysfunctions of a team

• Promoting the culture of Non-violent communications
• Group facilitation techniques

Sprint 4: Coaching the Product Owner

• What is Product Management
• What are the challenges facing product owners in product management, and how can a Scrum Master support them?
• Techniques for generating effective user stories
• Splitting techniques to help the PO plan incremental releases
• Prioritization Techniques to help the PO maximize the value

Post-workshop preparation:

We would like you to gain experience as a Scrum Master and the challenges that are posed to you. So we have post-workshop activities for you.

Scrum Master Case Studies: Learn to solve specific cases you may face as a Scrum Master by going through 15 case studies.

On-the-job mentoring: Get mentored by a coach at your workplace or over Skype to learn to introduce Scrum at your workplace.

Get your knowledge validated by your Coach/Trainer: Showcase the knowledge that was acquired during the workshop to your coach and get it validated.
