Organizations today are striving to stay on top of rapidly changing business needs and are coming to understand that the need to respond and adapt quickly is becoming increasingly important. Business leaders are now required to shift the way that they think about their organizational culture and employees and become change agents. The goal of this course is to bring awareness and understanding of the foundations of agile leadership, while creating awareness of the practices and principles of agility and how they apply to business/organizational agility. Through case studies and various models, participants will gain insight into what will and can work for their teams and organization. Participants should expect that each learning objective outlined in this document will be covered over the course of the program. The model for this course is flexible, allowing education providers autonomy to choose how they deliver the program in a way that will provide the most impact for their participants, including the models they choose, the mix of training and coaching, as well as how they bundle learning objectives in distinct learning sessions.

Certified Agile Leadership (CAL-E and CAL-O)

In NextUp’s two-day Certified Agile Leadership for Organization Leaders (CAL-E and CAL-O) course, students will complete Scrum Alliance accredited Certified Agile Leadership Essentials (CAL-E) and Certified Agile Leadership for Organizations (CAL-O) curriculum.This class explores the definition, utility, and application of Agile leadership, as well as the mindset, knowledge, and awareness needed to serve Agile teams as a direct leader. Students explore the impact of organizational structure on business Agility, conceptualize the flow of value across an organization, and learn how to apply an empirical approach to organizational change management. Our Certified Agile Leadership for Organization Leaders training is a highly interactive experience. Participants will apply Agile leadership fundamentals, scaling, and teaming principles to the dynamics of their own organization.

Certification

Upon successful completion of this course, students will acquire the Certified Agile Leadership Essentials (CAL-E) and Certified Agile Leadership for Organizations (CAL-O) credentials. These certifications are governed and maintained by the Scrum Alliance.

The class is presented in a highly interactive and collaborative format with elements of lecture, classroom discussion, exercises, games, simulations, and video interwoven throughout the class. Location Details

This is an online (virtual) class. Both days of training will begin at 9:00 a.m. and will end at 5:00 p.m. EST, with breaks throughout the day. After registering, students will be given the proper Zoom weblink with which to join the meeting. We recommend that students download the Zoom web-based application prior to joining class.
