Our CSM and CSPO classes assume the student has a basic knowledge of Scrum. If you are concerned, view the Scrum Alliance Foundations videos here.

Our training method has three parts. There are many modules, and each module involves reading, interaction with other students, and discussions with the instructor. The total times spent are approximately 4 hours reading, 3 hours discussion with other students, and 7 hours in interaction with the instructor.  If you are not comfortable with this style of learning, our courses are not for you.

Scrum Resources

In practice, Scrum is a vague concept. There are many different, incompatible, kinds of Scrum. We wrote the Scrum Handbooks (both STS and MTS) in order to provide a different description of Scrum, that was true to the Scrum of the Scrum Guide, but whose description is more useful to Organizations trying to use Scrum. There are over 60 annotations, and each contains one or more observations made about what we find in the Scrum Guide.

Scrum Teams are led by a Product Owner to build products in a complex decision-space. The Product Ownership I book and companion course will start you on your journey. For anyone who is new to the world of Scrum -- its foundations, its principles, its nuances -- there’s a lot to digest. You will discover that Scrum is lightweight, useful, and difficult to master. Once mastered, Scrum becomes an intuitive extension of how you approach work.

Get To Done® is both online software and cards on walls. We have worked hard to bring this unique tool to you so that you have full support for writing and managing complex backlogs. Stop regressing! Getting Scrum implemented right is hard, your software tool needs to support the right behaviors or groups often regress.  As a 3Back public course participant, we encourage you to use the Get to Done® planning and implementation tool. This powerful tool will help to enable your team to excel with increased team visibility and accountability.

SCRUM DICTIONARY exists for one simple reason. Words matter. In the world of Agile frameworks, words matter even more. Scrum Dictionary removes the lexicon noise and delivers a clear, concise definition of Agile terms, complete with examples and related terminology, in a format that’s as user-friendly as they come.

ScrumH The Scrum Handbook (ScrumH) is a description of Scrum that both unifies and extends older descriptions of Scrum, and is easier to relate to real world scenarios. It is the cleanest, most flexible and most agile version of Scrum there is… ScrumH is a scale-ready extension of Scrum.
