This Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) class is an interactive learning experience where you can learn the practices and tools to become an effective Product Owner and effectively execute your role within the Scrum framework. The instructor is both a Certified Scrum Trainer (CST) with Scrum Alliance and a Certified Product Innovation Trainer (CPIT) with Spark Engine.
Format: Live instructor, real-life simulations, learn-by-doing, group exercises.

About the training experience
This course is based on modern adult instructional methods to facilitate learning, create a fun and productive environment, and maturate a deeper understanding of the concepts. You will experience an interactive experience, enjoy the learning, and have fun in the process.
We use zero slides (no slides, nil, nada). The whole class is based on interactive exercises, simulations, and class discussions. The instructor explains key concepts and brings in real-life stories, and participants learn from applying the concepts and from sharing with each other. We incorporate innovation games into the exercises. You will experience these useful frameworks that you can use spark innovation and collaboration with your team members.
This class is delivered online (virtual class) with a live CST instructor as facilitator for the entire course. We use Zoom as video conference platform, and a few other tools (Miro, Socrative, etc.) to do exercises, take quizzes, and learn new tools for colaboration with teams.

Valerio has more than 20 years of professional experience spanning software development, system integration, agile transformation, design thinking, and product innovation. He helps organizations worldwide adopt Scrum, improve product development practices, and increase productivity. When he was a Capital One where he led digital product development initiatives for retail bank and transformed how customers interact with bankers. Attendance and expectations
The class is designed to be collaborative and interactive. We invite you to participate in all activities and exercises as this will provide you the most value and will prepare you for the certification exam.
We understand that family distractions and work commitments may take you away from the class momentarily. That's OK, and we will work around these. However, the expectation is for attendance in full to the class and its activities. If you miss more than 30 minutes you may not qualify for the exam. If you have anything already planned that creates a conflict with this requirement, please let the instructor know ahead of time so you can discuss best ways to address any issue and still get the most out of the class.
System requirements
All you need is a working computer, a reliable Internet connection, a camera, and a microphone. Please plan on joining the class from a comfortable and quiet location as many activities will require using an online collaboration tool and group discussions.
CSPO certification
Upon completion of the class and all required learning objectives, the trainer will load all qualified participants' email addresses into the Scrum Alliance's website. You will receive an email to create an account (if you don't have one already) and see your CSPO certificate. There is no exam.

Prerequisites
There is no required prior certificate, educational background, or work experience needed to participate in the CSPO course. The Certified Scrum Product Owner course is designed to introduce you to the key practices of developing a product, and as such all backgrounds are welcome to join and achieve the Scrum Product Owner certification.
A few pre-class reading materials are provided before the class starts to get you acquainted to new concepts and applications of Agile and Scrum.
