Timothy Carrington

My name is Dr. Tim Carrington, MSIA, CSM. I have been in the web application industry since 1999, with steady increases in position and influence. My early career, as with most other software developers, was rooted in waterfall methodologies. Moving to agile scrum methodologies in my application development projects really changed the way of doing business. It cultivated stronger relationships and collaboration throughout the scrum team. This has resulted in better products overall, as well as increased customer satisfaction. My role within scrum has evolved from a software engineer and development team member, to a product owner, certified scrum master, and director of the sotware engineering team. As a scrum master, I have found great value in working closely with my product owner to create a shared vision and product roadmap. This relationship results in clearly defined development tasks, organized sprints, and well-planned releases. In working toward becoming a Certified Scrum Professional, my objective is to further evangelize scrum practices in the workplace and ultimately become a scrum coach and trainer.
