I've been a Scrum Practioner since 2009. I started out by spinning up a few new Scrum teams at TD Ameritrade Trust Company. After that, I worked as a ScrumMaster and Coach at Local Matters, a small internet startup in Denver. Most recently, I've been working with a couple of fantastic teams at the ePlan Services division of Paychex as a ScrumMaster and Agile Coach. I've also done some Agile Coaching work for a few other divisions of Paychex.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, coaching my young son's sports teams (and yes, Agile principles are applied liberally!), blues and jazz music, and the occassional local craft beer.

Working as a ScrumMaster for a great team that is dedicated to the Scrum framework and XP Engineering practices. Of late, my focus has been upon deliberately defining our team culture and helping the team find new ways to effectively collaborate, continuously improve and enjoy their work!
Also, very recently, I've been leading our team in a fascinating experiment of limiting how many stories we're working on at any given time. This story-level WIP Limit has been hugely successful, and we've seen great benefits from the focus we're now giving our stories. In particular, our velocity is a bit higher and much more predictable, and we are truly working at a sustainable pace that can continue indefinitely.
Local Matters, ScrumMaster
February 2011 - May 2012, Denver, CO, US
We used Scrum to build software for 3rd party clients located in Australia, New Zealand and Europe. Many team members had not previously had experience with Scrum, so part of my role was to help train and educate those folks, and to help the team overcome the challenges of working with clients and Product Owners that were literally on the other side of the world.
TD Ameritrade Trust Company, ScrumMaster
January 2009 - February 2011, Debver, CO, US
ScrumMaster for 2 Development Teams, and worked to roll out Scrum to the entire Trust Division of TD Ameritrade. In addition to working to train and learn with the Engineering teams, I also lead an initiative to utilize the Scrum framework for business projects. In this roll, I became the de facto Scrum expert within the organization, and I interacted with and trained everyone from the Group President to recently-hired frontline staff.
