Gunther Verheyen (1970) has been in IT and software development since he graduated in 1992.
His Agile journey started with eXtreme Programming and Scrum in 2003. Through years of dedication, working with several teams and organisations doing Scrum, Gunther became the driving force behind some large-scale enterprise Agile transformations as from 2010.
Gunther is partner to Ken Schwaber, Scrum co-creator, at He shepherds Professional Scrum through, and is co-developing Scaled Professional Scrum and Agility Path.
Gunther is the author of the highly appraised “Scrum - A Pocket Guide (A Smart Travel Companion)", that was published in November, 2013.

As a director I co-wrote the business plan to help Proxis survive the dark days of Internet commerce (2000-2001).
