Eddie C. Drake has been a pioneer in the media and entertainment technology space for over 15 years. A proven innovator with over 20 media and entertainment technology-related patents and patents pending, he is currently Vice President, Technology for the Walt Disney Studios leading the product development organization supporting Film, Music and Theatrical Stage plays. Eddie oversees business analysis, user experience, product management and change management functions. He was formerly Chief Technology Officer of Siemens Communications, Home Entertainment (now a part of Nokia Siemens Networks), where he led the team defining next-generation IPTV architecture, user experience, middleware and standards. Prior to his role as CTO, Eddie was Vice President, Software Engineering and Co-founder of Myrio, an IPTV startup, which was acquired by Siemens in 2005. He spent his early career as a television editor and digital artist. Eddie graduated in 1995 from Brigham Young University with a BS in Broadcast Communications. He enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 sons, reading, coaching and playing soccer, and martial arts.
