Doug Sweet is a business professional with over 24 years of post graduate experience in diverse fields ranging from banking and construction to academic business management. Graduating in 1984 with an MBA, backed by a BS, majoring in finance, Sweet began his vocational life path in the consumer finance industry. After a rewarding, seventeen-year financial services career, spanning lending to loan review and audit, Sweet turned his attention toward the establishment of his own construction firm. Sweet led his firm for six years, expanding its scope from residential remodeling to commercial construction. In early 2008, Sweet transitioned out of proprietorship, accepting a position as a Business Administrator at Texas A&M University.
Sweet's non vocational formal experience includes teaching and training roles for youth and adults in subjects that include ethics, spiritual development, martial arts, and audio and video production techniques. He is active in his local church fellowship which includes a position as director of a weekly television production. Sweet has also directed and produced numerous short films and television commercials.
Sweet's hobbies include reading, writing, musical performance, and spending time with his family, including his pet retired racing greyhound.
