Debra Fricke

Debra Crawford - I'm a 20 year veteran of Cincinnati Public Schools and lifetime tech enthusiast. My years of service with the school district includes experience in the civil service, administrative, and certificated fields. I’ve spent time working both in our schools and at the Education Center, including several years in our Information Technology department where I managed a learning management system for over 38,000 users and several district-wide initiatives such as our Blended Learning programs and the CPS Tech Truck. 

Beyond my work for the school system, I’ve also been a parent of two Cincinnati Public School students. My varied experiences within the district has provided me with a very unique perspective. What I learned over the years in these positions gave me insight to the particular needs of each group in our organization and provided me a platform to communicate with a unique understanding of where people are coming from. It's because of these experiences that I learned to listen to the needs of the people I'm serving. I’ve been there – I’ve done that – I get it. 

I left my job as an IT administrator so I could continue my education and gain experience in the classroom. It was my desire to be armed with first-hand knowledge and experience that would allow me to have a greater impact and affect the type of change I wanted to see for my constituents. As a result, I have an exceptional blend of technical skills, leadership abilities, management experience, and now a background in education. Yet it is my personal attributes and emotional intelligence that take the quality of my work to the next level. My passion for workplace culture elevates my performance and engages those around me in meaningful ways, leading to higher productivity for all.
