David Brown

I come to the agile community with over 15 years of experience leading software solution projects of varying sizes focused in the healthcare and real estate related industries.  I have gained a breadth of experience leading teams from start-up companies to Fortune 500 companies and am passionate about improving the business and the customer experience by adding value wherever possible.  I have served as the Director of Product Management and Director of the IT PMO for First American Database Solutions Division leading the adoption of agile practices and standardization of (agile) project management processes.  

I have been a presenter and panelist at the Orange county chapters of Agile SoCal, Agile Leadership Network, Rally's 'Rally on the Rocks', Orange County Scrum Day, and Southern California Agile Leadership Summit.

In my current position as IT Director in the Buiness Technology Solutions division of First American Title, I mentor individuals and lead teams in building applications to serve the real estate title and settlement services space with a focus on Applied Research and Development initiatives.  

I am a self-appointed chief Agile evangelist and lead the adoption of Agile software practices throughout First American as an Agile Coach and mentor.

I am a Certified Project Management Professional (PMI-PMP) and ITIL v3 Foundations certified in addition to my Scrum Alliance certifications.
