Dagmar Hebenstreit
Starting my career in 2012 as a management trainee for a measurement instruments company was my first touch point with agile methods. The companies CTO decided in 2013, as one of the first hardware developing companies in Germany, to try Scrum and agile methods in R&D and quickly spread the experiences into the company. I got the chance to do a KAIZEN Process Owner course and started educating myself about Scrum from this time on. During my time as a business development manager and in-house consultant for the company I trained and supported teams internationally to improve their processes, work flow and collaboration by using agile methods. My role was the training, support and guidance during their first steps, primed by action plans and analysis to show the need for change. The success stories have been amazing and highly motivated me to stay with agile and deepen my knowledge and experience.
I left the company end of 2015, changing to a classical management consulting company. I mainly worked for companies in the industrial market and focused on R&D, innovation and sales topics. I organised my own work flow agile and used my agile experience during my consulting projects, e.g. by using Design Thinking, Personas, Business model canvas and other components. I left the company after two years and took the chance to finally get my Scrum Master and Product Owner certification to underpin my professional experiences with deepened theoretical knowledge. I got the fortune to do my courses by Sohrab Salimi (SE-Consulting), who is a close contact since.
Realizing the disruptive changes in the technology market and the need for adaption, hardware developing companies started asking for alternative ways to organize and structure work flows as well as collaboration. Still being addicted to my personal understanding and values of consultancy I decided to found the AGILEUS Consulting GmbH & Co. KG together with my father, focussing on agile transitions of hardware development companies. Starting mid of 2017 we’re currently supporting several internationally established companies developing into agile organizations. After sometimes facing resistance against change in the beginning of projects it is always a great journey to see the quick changes in peoples behaviour. Their motivation increase almost suddenly. Project results improve applying the methods, stakeholder involvement speed up decision processes as well. This is highly motivating me for my daily and future work and proves the pass we’ve chosen with AGILEUS.
