About

Title: Digital Innovator

Ruth Mac Partlin has delivered innovative digital projects since the late nineties. With an early focus on the end-user, she managed redevelopment projects in the early 2000's of early Irish consumer websites, which had grown organically and become unwieldy for the user, an example being the 'redesign and information architecture' for the Irish Times newspaper, introducing user and commercially focused categorisation and the controlled vocabulary using the IPTC standard. Throughout the 2000's she delivered projects on behalf of clients across all verticals, including Tourism, Publishing, Education, Government and Commercial. She has managed teams using licensed and open source software both from a design and development perspective.

In addition to delivering for clients, she has been co-founder of a number of start-ups including Up2Date and aPperbook. She has competed for and gained places on Enterprise Ireland programmes such as the Internet Growth Acceleration Programme (iGap) and Access Silicon Valley. These lean start-up programmes and other initiatives in the company lead to the use of agile frameworks in the delivery of products. In 2017, she became a certified Scrum Master and is available for roles focused on delivering innovation.
