About

John is an Enterprise Agile/Scrum Coach, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), and Certified Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Program Consultant (SPC). And have been coaching Agile for over 5 years.  He likes to refer to himself as an Orchestrator of Change by helping companies to enable their people to achieve excellence. 

After college John worked in banking for several years then went to investment real estate brokerage and consulting with a focus on commercial investment properties priced above the $5M mark which gave him experience with banking, finance, investment and pension funds management and property management and construction planning and implementation. 

In the 90's, he transitioned into the IT world working with web development, lotus notes, Domino, and infrastructure settings for Domino for website hosting. This included dealing with items like firewalls, hosting environments, server farms, networking, bandwidth, etc.

John has over 15 years’ experience in Web/Internet development, training and project management, with a focus on the UX/UI, Digital, Mobile, Cloud, Social Media and Web Projects and more recently Agile/Scrum Training and Coaching. Certified ScrumMaster with an affinity for Agile Web Project Management and Development and working with UX and CX (User and Creative Experience) Teams.  Experience ranges from working with the Big 5 to the Fortune 500 companies including FIS Global, National Geographic (Digital Services), Coca Cola Enterprises, Capital One, Ventyx (An ABB Company), Hartford Insurance, PWC, Accenture, Andersen, IBM, ATT, Lowes Home Improvement, Walt Disney, and Turner Broadcasting (March Madness on Demand), as well as several small startup opportunities

  • Coca Cola Enterprises – CCE – SAP UK implementation.
  • Cisco Video Technologies to implement and rollout set-top box and companion device programming for clients around the world. He also trained and coached Cisco customers in agile and business values.
  • CapitalOne – SAFe coaching and training. 
  • Lowes on their MyLowes initiative and redesigned web portal allowing customers to track, measure, and record various home records and home improvement projects.
  • Turner Broadcasting on their first March Madness on Demand event in 2011. Broadcasting multiple NCAA (National Collegiate Association of America) sporting events (Basketball, baseball, soccer, etc.) during March over TV, Cable, and hand held devices. That event was part of the $11 billion contract over a 10 year period
  • Disney on their agile transformation and implementation for their website identifying the new Smart-band and RFID project for Disney World in Orlando.
  • Working at IBM on the 1998 Superbowl,com project which was the world’s first Internet multi-casting event, TV, Radio, Cable and Internet.

John has quite an extensive and diverse background, almost all of which has a more than agile thought process and understanding.  By really knowing what the client wants and needs, John can work with the organizations, management, executives and delivery teams in understanding and delivering just about anything.
