Chitranjan Nath

Chitranjan Nath is an IT professional with 13+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, project & program / product delivery management. He has held leadership roles in planning and delivering software engineering solutions in product development, outsource product development and support projects using traditional, lean and agile practices. He played various roles starting from software developer through delivery manager encompassing various domains, organizations & cultures. Uniqueness and challenges working in each of these varying areas brings enriching experience that enabled him to provide insights and consulting that are essential for modern paradigm of building organization behavior and software products. He has got good practical exposure to Scrum and its benefits. Over the period of last 4 years, he has played various roles of being a Scrum Team Member, Scrum Master and Product Owner. As a Scrum Master, he has ensured that the Scrum Team adheres to Scrum theory, practices, and rules, and lives by the values and practices of Scrum. - Build self-organizing teams to consistently deliver on the product vision within the project constraints. - Facilitate Sprint Planning, Sprint Retrospective, Daily Scrum Meetings and Sprint Reviews. In one of the projects, he implemented Kanban and it resulted in increased productivity and helped team achieve the sprint goals within the stipulated time. In the role of a Product Owner, he has supported scrum teams to provide solution to their impediments and supporting development team to accomplish the sprint goals. He has achieved expertise to maintain the Product Backlog, to make sure it is active, up to date and available to Scrum Master. His application of scrum practices has led to a fully functional and productive team. He has good experience in providing metrics (Burndown, Velocity) and help the project stakeholders understand how to create and maintain the Product Backlog, to make sure it is in good shape. He keeps himself updated through various agile resources and inspired by thought leaders in engineering world like Kent Beck, Martin Fowler, Neal Ford, Jeff Sutherland and Mike Cohn. Chitranjan has worked for companies Infosys Technologies Ltd and HCL Technologies and managed projects for their customers Aetna Health Insurance, Pfizer Pharmaceuticals and Microsoft. He is Certified Scrum Master CSM, Certified Software Quality Analyst, SAFe Agilist (Scaled Agile Framework). He has a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Engineering from University of Delhi, India. (2003)
