Axel Wilhelm Berle is CEO and Product Owner for Working-Agile.com, a Brazilian startup developing digital solutions for law firms.
Previously he has been an international IT consultant and software developer in a wide range of industries for more than 2 decades. Born and raised in Belgium, with a stop over to study computer science in Koblenz - Germany, he has now been living in Brazil for more than 25 years.
Axel had his first contact with Scrum when he was hired by Payback/Germany in 2011 as a Java developer. This project first took him from Brazil to Munich and finally to India. Working in agile teams had opened his eyes: work should always be like this! So he decided to specialize in Scrum and Agility and to help others to go this way.
Over the years he gained experience as Agile Developer, Scrum Master, trainer and coach at companies such as the National Bank of Kuwait, Magazine Luiza, Santander, Lufthansa Systems, Devk, Dekra, Seguros Sura, Syngenta, Heine and many others.
Axel's special interest is TDD and BDD: development, refinement and discovery techniques that he teaches and also applies in his startup. He is the author of the Scrum Alliance micro credential courses "BDD for Agile teams" and "UX for Agile teams" (to be launched second quarter 2025).

Axel Wilhelm Berle é CEO e Product Owner da Working-Agile.com, uma startup brasileira que desenvolve soluções digitais para escritórios de advocacia.
Anteriormente, ele foi consultor internacional de TI e desenvolvedor de software em uma ampla gama de setores por mais de duas décadas. Nascido e criado na Bélgica, com uma parada para estudar ciência da computação em Koblenz, na Alemanha, ele vive no Brasil há mais de 25 anos.
Axel teve seu primeiro contato com o Scrum quando foi contratado pela Payback/Alemanha em 2011 como desenvolvedor Java. Esse projeto o levou do Brasil para Munique e, finalmente, para a Índia. Trabalhar em equipes ágeis abriu seus olhos: o trabalho deveria ser sempre assim! Então, ele decidiu se especializar em Scrum e Agilidade e ajudar outras pessoas a seguirem esse caminho.
Ao longo dos anos, ele adquiriu experiência como desenvolvedor ágil, Scrum Master, instrutor e coach em empresas como o Banco Nacional do Kuwait, Magazine Luiza, Santander, Lufthansa Systems, Devk, Dekra, Seguros Sura, Syngenta, Heine e muitas outras.
O interesse especial de Axel é TDD e BDD: técnicas de desenvolvimento, refinamento e descoberta que ele ensina e também aplica em sua startup. Ele é o autor dos cursos de microcredencial da Scrum Alliance “BDD para equipes ágeis” e “UX para equipes ágeis” (a serem lançados no segundo trimestre de 2025).
