Michelle Simkonis

Michelle Simkonis is excited about Scrum and has become an influence with many various customers seeking out a better foundation. She has been implementing Agile/Scrum for over the last 7 years have been invited to brief and demo many groups based on word of mouth successes. Michelle's position is a Project Manager for Trusted Concepts allowing her to wear multiple hats specializing as a Configuration Manager, Project Manager and Certified Scrum Master. She has a BS in Business Management and has worked for well established government contracting companies. She is currently a co-leader for the Atlassian User Group for Northern Virginia (NOVA AUG) in which this application provides many companies the technical tool the ability to assist in the execution of Agile/Scrum. She currently implements scrum for 6 technical applications but is also mentoring scrum to nontechnical projects. Her professional experience contains tester, trainer, customer support, quality assurance, requirements, project manager, configurations manager, and Scrum Master. In Michelle's off time, she is always on the search for more knowledge from experienced Agile professionals whether it is blogs, publications, the local Atlassian user group or conferences. After the Scrum Alliance Gathering 2016, this has increased her passion to become a CSP and CTC. As a configuration and project manager, she would like to become a Certified Agile Leader to gain knowledge of an agile leader and to mentor and coach other leaders in concert.
