Alois Singer
About
Mr. Alois Singer started his career in the US Navy Nuclear Submarine Force as an operator and retired after 26 years as a CWO4. His career included tours as an Engineering Supervisor on two submarines and on one cruiser as an Engineering Watch Officer. He also served on the staff of Naval Nuclear Power School, Naval Submarine Support Facility New London, and spent eight years as a member of the Naval Reactors staff at Newport News Shipyard. Following retirement he held management positions with the Department of Energy Office of Nuclear Safety and Office of Oversight for seven years. Mr. Singer then joined the Staff of Idaho National Laboratory as the contractor Director of the Radiation Protection Program and the staff of Fluor Hanford as a Senior Operations Director. Finally, he has spent the last nine years with EnergySolutions as the Project Manager for their major support subcontract to complete startup testing and commissioning, and operate the Sallt Waste Processing Facility at the DOE Savannah River Site. He also serves as the SWPF Commissioning and Startup Test Manager for Parsons, The Prime Contractor for the SWPF Project.
