Laurie Zant

Laurie Zant started her IT career as part of a knowledge engineering team in the 1980s and learned the value of collaborative, results-driven development conducted in constant communication with the subject matter expert.   From there Laurie took on roles including technical writer, trainer, and knowledge engineer, eventually moving into IT consulting as a business analyst.  After experiencing the frustration of long waterfall projects that got cancelled before they ever got out of the requirements phase, Laurie was thrilled to learn how Agile methodolgies and the Scrum framework produce real business value early and often.   

Laurie began learning Scrum through on-the-job instruction by other team members in 2012.  The learning accelerated when she moved to a new project on a Scrum team and received daily coaching from her commuting partner, an enthusiastic CSM,   In addition to taking advantage of individual coaching and day-to-day experience as a Scrum team member, Laurie has achieved CSM and CSPO certification, as well as that of Certified LeSS Practitioner.   Laurie now serves as a Scrum coach for her team and other teams within the larger organization.
