About
Michael Badgett is an Agile Coach working with Cognizant Technology Solutions in Phoenix, Arizona. His current assignment is as scrum master for the three teams upgrading the Membership Rewards online experience at American Express.
Prior to working with American Express, Mike was an Agile Coach with New Dawn Technologies in Logan, Utah where he developed and implemented an agile adoption across the company. While training and persuading managers and colleagues, it was often discovered that people were too busy to address their glaring process problems.
Mike often focuses on prioritization, queue theory, and work in progress limits.
Mike has also filled the role of software engineer, tester, product manager, and party planner. He is a proponent of doing whatever it takes to "deliver valuable software to the customer" and using the unique tools in the agile development toolbox to get there.
Mike studied Computer Science at Utah State University and is the proud father of 4 usually pleasent children.
