John Greer

John Greer moved to Austin in 2011 aspiring to become a producer in the video game industry. He began working at Blizzard as a Customer Support Rep where at the urging of his mentors he began learning about various software and project management processes. This is how he was first introduced to Agile/Scrum methodologies. Earning his CSM in 2012 enabled him to extracurricularly begin working with elements of development so that he could begin utilizing what he had learned. He continued to do this all while educating himself further. Achieving his CSPO a few years later allowed him to gain an opportunity with a local technology startup as a Product Manager with the goal of helping to introduce Agile methodologies onto the companies development teams. Through that experience and others he currently works as a Project Manager with Electronic Arts, all the while continuing to further his knowledge and education towards Scrum and Agile.
