About
Hugo Azevedo, born in Brazil, and developed his career around the Denver,CO Metro area in the United States.
After enjoying many years working as a Customer Support professional in the Software/Tech industry, Hugo has been working for Rally since June 2012, when he started to develop his passion around Agile, Scrum, XP, Lean and Business Agility. It all started with the Rally Support team and helping customers to fully utilize Rally solutions to support their Agile journey.
As a Customer Success Engineer at Rally, in order to provide customers an excellent level of support, it was crucial for Hugo to develop a full understanding of Scrum amongst other Agile methodologies.
Hugo's passion quickly grew beyond the Scrum Master (CSM) role, when Hugo also decided to obtain the CSPO certification for a more comprehensive understanding of Scrum from multiple points of view.
In 2014 Hugo worked at Rally as a Technical Account Owner, through the Rally Success Program. Hugo's main goal is to take a proactive approach into educating users on how to apply their agile knowledge to the Rally platform to maximize the benefits that Scrum and Scaled Agile can bring to teams, programs and businesses for Rally's most strategic customers.
As a result of the work above, Hugo has obtained his SAFe Agilist certification, from the Scaled Agile Academy, to expand his horizon towards the Scaled Agile domain. Before moving to Brazil to lead and development the agile business for CA Agile Management Business in Latin America for CA Technologies, Hugo Azevedo has further developed his knowledge around the Scaled Agile Framework and has earned the SAFe SPC( SAFe Program Consultant) certification in 2015. In addition, he has earned a CSP certification after moving through the process application with Scrum Alliance.
Starting in 2016, Hugo has worked for almost three years developing the agile management business in the entire Latin America region for CA Technologies. Some accomplishments worth highlighting was te ability to land a new customer on each country by the second year and also the quota achievement by the last quarter of FY18. Our footprint touched many people from executives working on a large mexican conglomerate to the formation of strong agile teams on a public bank in the northeast region of Brazil.
In January 2019, Hugo has moved back to Colorado and also started the next phase of his career by joining Gitlab Inc. as a Technical Account Manager/Solutions Architect for the Latin American territory. This is a new opportunity for him to regain a closer touch with the technical side of things and to expand knowledge in the DevSecOps space.
