ClearlyContacts is the largest online contact lenses and prescription glasses retailer in Canada. I am working as a Java developer for in-house development team and engagement lead for an offshore team of developers. I’m responsible for building and enhancing the next generation of more than ten online retail stores for eye industry in different geo locations including North America, Europe and Australia/New Zealand. The system is being progressively evolved and new features are being added regularly to increase the effectiveness, responsiveness and usability for the end users. In addition to that, I’m responsible for adding new features for CMS, other online retail stores along with adding new features for different payment gateways. For the offshore team, I do regular code reviews, manage team and development processes and liaison with Business Analysts to clarify and enhance requirements for new projects. We actively use SCRUM with a two week Sprint Cycle starting with Sprint Planning, Sprint execution and ending it with Sprint Demo and Sprint Retrospective.

I was leading a team of developers and was a member of a group of Software Architects building the next generation of recommender system for Digital Marketing And Online Campaign Management Systems. The system was being progressively evolved and new features were being added regularly to increase the effectiveness and prediction of the items for the end users. The system was using a set of competing recommenders for the best recommendations possible by using semantics, geo-location tagging and user profile history built over time. SCRUM was heavily used and I also worked as a Scrum Master for the team. We used Sprint cycles of three weeks per sprint and working features were delievered at the end of each sprint.

I have led multiple teams of developers and testers and have successfully implemented multiple highly scalable real time product customizations for Ericsson's prepaid charging system. I have done frequent analysis of domain requirements and proposed technically sound architectural solutions for different development teams for Ericsson's prepaid charging system. I have been involved in trouble report handling and fixing known and reported defects in different versions of the prepaid charging systems. The system is used by multiple mobile operators throughout the whole world. SCRUM was used for completing complex projects. Each Sprint was three weeks long, and I have been involved in projects that were finished within a single sprint or spanned multiple sprints from inception to completion.
