Category Expectation Details & Examples
1. Experience Prerequisite Minimum of 2 years working as a ScrumMaster within the last 5 years Students must have hands-on experience facilitating Scrum events, removing impediments, and coaching teams
2. Prior Certification Must hold an active A-CSM (Advanced Certified ScrumMaster) Proof of completion from Scrum Alliance is required before enrollment
3. Active Participation Full engagement in discussions, breakout sessions, and team exercises This includes live simulations of conflict resolution, team coaching, and organizational alignment exercises
4. Reflective Practice Willingness to reflect on personal leadership and team facilitation style Exercises may include self-assessment, peer feedback, and journaling around Scrum values
5. Coaching Mindset Open to learning and practicing coaching techniques (one-on-one and team) Students will explore coaching stances, use powerful questions, and practice mentoring skills
6. Readiness for Systems Thinking Engage with topics like scaling Scrum, organizational design, and change leadership For example, analyzing system constraints, exploring LeSS or SAFe environments, etc.
7. Contribution to Peer Learning Bring real-world examples and challenges to enrich group learning Peer-to-peer feedback is a key part of certification alignment with Scrum Alliance
