Taking the Certified Scrum Master course with Valerio was an exceptional experience that exceeded my expectations. Coming from a background in research and evaluation, where a traditional waterfall approach is the norm, I joined the course hoping to gain a deeper understanding of how to bring more agility and structure to the work we do. With a foundation in decision-making science and a strong grasp of learning theory, I was especially appreciative of how thoughtfully the course was designed. Valerio’s teaching style is both engaging and approachable. He skillfully bridges the gap between Scrum principles and real-world applications, even for those of us outside the typical software development environment. His use of diverse, non-traditional examples made it easy to draw connections between the course material and the context of my own work. Thanks to his ability to ground Scrum concepts an easy and relatable way, I walked away with several actionable ideas that my team can implement, even if we're not following Scrum to the letter. What sets Valerio apart is his authenticity and ability to create a dynamic learning space, even when people are more reserved. His wealth of personal experience brought important depth and a tangibility to the lessons, especially when discussing common challenges and how to navigate them. He doesn’t just teach Scrum, I think he models the mindset behind it, showing how transparency, reflection, and refinement make a difference. The interactive format of the class also stood out. From whole-class discussions to smaller breakout groups and quizzes, there were plenty of opportunities to collaborate, share insights, and deepen our understanding by learning from each other. While the number of breakout sessions could feel daunting, especially if you are more introverted, I really appreciated them and they ultimately played a crucial role in reinforcing concepts, offering real-world perspectives from fellow participants, and helping me build confidence in the material. The workbook he provided is clear, well-organized, and extremely helpful in reviewing key ideas. I now feel thoroughly prepared for the certification exam and I feel confident that I have the tools for additional review as well. This course exemplifies effective adult learning: it fosters confidence, lowers barriers to engagement, and provides meaningful tools for application beyond the classroom. I highly recommend it to anyone, regardless of industry, who is looking to adopt or better understand agile practices.

Valerio is a great instructor. He added a lot of value when he told the real-world example of how he used it with a large bank. More examples would be helpful. I loved the canvas where we did the break-out sessions, definitely plan to use it technique myself. The only reason for 4 stars is it was tricky finding the information for the course. There were different links at different times or from different emails. Would have been helpful for one landing page during the course that included the four main items: the MIRO board, the scrum guide, a scrum link, then I think there was one or two more links. Having all of them readily accessible would've made it simpler on the trainee. Other than that, it was great. Thank you, Valerio.

During class Valerio provided excellent real-life experiences which helped understand the topic. The Scrum Master and Product Owner have distinct roles and he helped understand the distinction. Great class!
