On successful completion of the A-CSM course, you’ll receive

  • Qualification for Advanced ScrumMaster Certification (demonstration of at least one year of work experience specific to the role of ScrumMaster within the past five years is also a requirement for certification)
     
  • Payment of your first two year dues for the Scrum Alliance
     
  • 16 SEUs from the Scrum Alliance. Additional SEUs can be earned for review of pre-course and post-course materials
     
  • 14 PDUs from PMI (Project Management Institute)

Lean, Agile and Scrum

Scrum roles and responsibilities  

Learn the Agile and Lean Values, Principles, Worldview and Empirical Process Control. Values and principles of the Agile Manifesto in Scrum. Discuss at least two other Lean/Agile development frameworks (e.g., LSD, XP, Kanban). How ScrumMaster can rectify violation of Agile principles. Five personality traits of an excellent ScrumMaster. Describe the function of the inspect-and-adapt process in the Daily Scrum, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Evaluate three situations when transparency, inspection, and adaption are not working.


Agile Facilitation

How to facilitate the Scrum Team. Three indicators when a group is engaged in divergent thinking and when a group is engaged in convergent thinking. Three challenges of integrating multiple frames of reference. the “Groan Zone”). Three ways to reach a final decision. Five facilitative listening techniques for effective meetings/events. Coaching the Product Owner. Facilitating the creation (or refinement) of the product vision between the Product Owner and the Development Team.
