About
Stephen Stout was born in Germany and grew up in England due to his father being a defense contractor. He moved to the United States at the age of thirteen. In 2011 he earned a Bachelor’s of Science from University of Central Missouri in Political Science with a minor in Military Science and commissioned as Second Lieutenant in the Army National Guard with a specialization in information technology and telecommunications management.
He has worked in the IT industry since 2011, including a military deployment in the Persian Gulf as a battalion communications officer and was honorably discharged as a Captain in the United States Army in 2019. He was first introduced to Scrum via the military in 2015, became a Scrum Master in 2016, and holds the CSP-SM, Scrum Foundations Educator, A-CSM and CSM professional certifications.
