Simon Bennett

Simon Bennett has been delivering Software Projects ranging from $300M F-16 mission simulator programmes through to hosted web applications across Australia, Asia, the middle east, USA and Europe. The last 13 years have been focused on delivering solutions in an Agile Fashion. Since moving to the UK, Simon worked as project manager in online gaming before taking a position as a CTO in the Finance Sector where he successfully ran on and offshore development using Agile Methods.

After over 10 years as a practitioner of Agile, Simon turned his hand to consulting, first with his own venture Taien Enterprises, and then later joining Conchango where he worked with many blue chip organisations through the EU, US and Asia.  Whilst at Conchango, Simon served as the Product Owner for the popular Scrum for Team System, Team Foundation Server process template and its associated products such as Task board for Team System (one of the first real time electronic task boards).

After Conchango was acquired by EMC, Simon become the Head of Lean, Agile and Systems thinking and worked toward blending all three disciplines to focus on Enterprise wide transformations.

After 9 month stint as an advisor to the Scrum Alliance itself, Simon is now the Principal Coach & Trainer for LASTing Benefits UK and LASTing Benefits Pty Ltd Australia.

Simon is a popular speaker and has featured at many Agile (and other) conferences.  His subjects tend towards the wider organisational issues and blend in other disciplines (such as Game Theory) into areas such as Agile Contracting, Employee Motivation and systemic resistance to Agile & Scrum Adoption.
