Matthew Heusser
About
Matthew Heusser has been involved in the software process for his entire adult life, including stints as a programmer, project manager, test lead and college instructor. As managing consultant at Excelon Development, Matt teaches, consults, trains, and does software delivery while managing key accounts for the company. In addition to organizing peer conferences like TestRetreat, volunteering for the Association for Software Testing, and teach the Lean Software Testing/Delivery (LST/LSD) courses, Matt is probably best known for his writing. After serving as the lead editor for "How to Reduce the Cost of Software Testing" (Taylor and Francis, 2011) and writing a chapter for "Beautiful Testing" (O'Reilly, 2009), Matt accepted an Editing role at Stickyminds.com which he continues part-time.
As a youth Matt served in Civil Air Patrol (CAP), where he achieved it's highest earned grade of cadet colonel, and soloed in a Cessa 172 light aircraft, before he had a driver's license for an automoble. Matt also enjoys skiing, coaching youth soccer, and is a homeschool and education enthusiast.
