Michael Frazier

My name is Michael Frazier and I am an accomplished Scrum Master and Technical Project manager with over 12+ years experience delivering large-scale software and web development projects on time and on budget by effectively collaborating, facilitating, leading and coaching multiple Scrum teams.

I first received my Scrum Master certification on October 3rd, 2007 and have held that certification every since.  Throughout my career I have been responsible for organizing and facilitating sprint planning, daily scrum meetings, retrospectives, release planning, demonstrations, and other related meetings.  I track and communicate team velocity and sprint or release progress, Facilitate communication, improve transparency, and radiate information to management and our business partners.   As part of any scrum master job I encourage discussion, work through conflict resolution, engage the team in discussions around alternatives, or different approaches to technical problem.  I empower the team to self-organize. I am responsible for assisting in mitigating distractions and increasing team focus. In addition, I continue to expand my scrum knowledge to ensure adherence to Agile and Scrum concepts and principles. Assist with backlog maintenance when needed and work with individual product owners to create stories and provide the level of detail required for my teams to properly size them.

Since taking my job here at Red Hat I have completed and successfully achieved my Project Management Professional certification as well as obtaining my SAFe 4.0 Certification.
